In 2021, Smart Cheli was shortlisted for the Nature Research Awards for Inspiring Women in Science in the Science Outreach category. Organized by Nature Research (Springer Nature) in partnership with The Estée Lauder Companies, the awards recognize outstanding initiatives that inspire girls and young women to pursue STEM education and careers. Smart Cheli was recognized for its work in providing coding and robotics education to Nepalese school girls.
