Smart Cheli has always been about more than just teaching code; it’s about building a future where gender parity in science and technology is the norm, not the exception. In the past year, we’ve reached over 60,000 people across Nepal, sparking curiosity in rooms that were once silent.
Our journey began with a simple belief: if you give a girl a computer, she will change her world. But we soon realized that hardware isn’t enough. Mentorship, support, and a curriculum designed for the local context are the real catalysts.
Our program, STEAM AddhyanShala, has been implemented in over 50 schools. We’ve seen girls who were initially hesitant to touch a robot eventually lead teams to build complex irrigation systems using Arduino. This shift in confidence is our greatest achievement.
Beyond the classroom, we’ve built a community. Our mentorship program connects girls with female professionals who have navigated the challenges of the tech industry. These connections provide the ‘social capital’ that is often missing for women in STEM.
Be part of a growing community dedicated to empowering the next generation of innovators.
